 These questions always popped up on minds of every individual (boys, girls, gays and lesbian). As one of these individuals “FASHION” for me is not about how much is the price of your dress, shoes and whatever. Instead these are the reflection of you, of whom and what you are. And as the maximum goes… this are the 
things that you are comfortable with.

The main things that triggers me to AIVYq2mCh3s1Alg#tbm=isch&q=fashionista+lesbian&imgrc=9CGv0UQkmz2F6M%3Awrote about this is I want to know who is there idols when it comes to fashion, who dictates them on what to wear and how the environment mold them in their daily style of clothing.

Lesbian is one of my focuses in writing about these. I thought it is hard for them to find what’s best for them because they are boys alike. But as I did my observation and interview with them on SM City Bacolod I had so many things discovered regarding with them. During my observation for three days, I had noticed that they are very comfortable in their outfit. They can talk and walked with confidence. Then, some of my questions I asked to them if who are their inspiration when it comes to their fashion. Next, what is fashion for them and the last is how old are they.

These are the list of names (lesbians) and questions:

• Ann Chenette D. Nemenzo, 17 -  Coco Martin -  It is expressing yourselves if who you really are.  Just like for me, I wore an outfit like Coco Martin because it reflects masculinity.  And I wanted to be like that.

• Annielyn G. Remano, 22 - Charice Pempengco  and Vice Ganda - It is a trend right now.

• Julie Ann Binas, 22 -  Vhong Navarro - Fashion is an outlet of expression and defines who you are.

• Cheska L. Salvador, 23 - Aldn Richards - it is a simplicity but on trend always.

• Ma. Ana C. Manong, 17 -Exo (Korean boy band group) - For me, these are the influences of other country to us. But I always wear what I’m comfortable with

As I finished my observation about them I can conclude that Fashion is always based on your personality. And it is always a reflection of the things you are comfortable with. But as the trends changes it adds color to what so called FASHION.

Gay Fashion Style

We had our third and last observation on September 20, 2015 Sunday. I interviewed four gays. During the interview, I asked several questions about our topic which is Fashion.


First Interviewee

Jason Ibañez, 17, years old.

"Fashion is my way to express my self."

Who is Ylona?

Ylona Jade Garcia, 13 year old, from Australia. She is a Filipino-Australian and one of the Housemates of Pinoy Big Brother 737.Both of her parents are practitioners in the medical field, but she has more interest in the performing arts. She had previously performed with Martin Nievera, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo Mañalac. While she is becoming prominent within the Filipino community in Australia, she still has a lot to learn about Filipino Culture, especially the Filipino Language. Ylona was first nominated on the week 2, and was nominated again for another week, but she survived the public bote. On week 4, she was nominated after failing to win the immunity challenge. She got a chance to be saved by the winning team, but the team chose bailey. She was saved from evicted after kyle made a voluntary exit. On the week 5, her group, the Dream team, won the majority of the votes for their performances in the Big-Ating Concert thus, being granted immunity along with Franco and Bailey. She was nominated on the week 6. On the Day 49, she was named after a finalist with 19.84% of the net vote. She exited the House on Day 50. She returned to the House on Day 99 and will continue the battle untill the Big night.

The last two interviewee doesn't want us take a photos of them. What I did was i just gathered some of their information as well as their answers to my questions.

"Because she is a fashonista and i like the way she dress herself that's why she influenced me."
  Based on what i have observed and heard about their answers Celebrities really have a big impact on people's lives in terms of Fashion styles. Their influences inspires individual to express their selves in a way that would meet their satisfactions. I also realized that fashion can be inherited from the other person. Gays also have their own definition and style in terms of fashion.

Let's talk about BOY'S WAY. . .

We had our second observation and 

interview with the chosen guys wearing different trends of clothes. We asked their names and who influenced them about fashion.

Our first interviewee was Tom Subico, 19 years old. The celebrity who influenced him is Vhong Navarro.

Vhong Navarro (born Ferdinand Hipolito Navarro on January 4, 1977) is a Filipino actor, comedian, dancer, singer, and host at ABS-CBN. He is part of the dance group Streetboys in the Philippines.

As part of the dance group Streetboys, Navarro was discovered by director Chito S. Roño who continues to manage him. Among the products he has endorsed were Sprite, Pop-Cola, RRJ, Lucky Me, Selecta Ice Cream and Blu Tab.

Our second interviewee was Bobby Fisher A Geriane. He is aging 16 and Vhong Navarro is also his favorite celebrity.

Vhong Navarro is a host of ABS-CBN network’s daily noontime variety show ‘It’s Showtime’  together with Anne Curtis, Billy Crawford, Karylle, ‘Kuya’ Kim Atienza, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta and Vice Ganda, JhongHilario, Ryan Bang, and Coleen Garcia. He also appears frequently on the Sunday variety show ASAP.

Jeepney Production, for the first time will stage a comic musical concert with Vhong Navarro and Osang (X-Factor Philippines).

This Comedy Music Concert entitled “Laugh out Loud” will be held at Bowman Hall Blacktown on the 20th of June, 2014 and will start at 7pm.

Our third interviewee was Deo C. Tonogbanua, a 15 year-old. Coco Martin is his favorite celebrity.

He became famous for starring in independent films, and was dubbed the "Prince of Philippine Independent Films". He is also known for his portrayal of Ramon Lecumberri in the television series TayongDalawa,as well as for his dual role as the twins Alexander and Javier del Tierro in the series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, and his main protagonist role as Daniel Guidotti in WalangHanggan.

Shander Ashley N. Aritao was the fourth interviewee. He is a sixteen year-old guy and the celebrity who influenced him about fashion is Wiz Khalifa.

Cameron Jibril Thomaz (born September 8, 1987), better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper, songwriter and actor. He released his debut album, Show and Prove, in 2006, and signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2007. His Eurodance-influenced single, "Say Yeah", received urban radio airplay, charting on the Rhythmic Top 40 and Hot Rap Tracks charts in 2008.

Khalifa parted with Warner Bros. and released his second album, Deal or No Deal, in November 2009. The last but least was Kyle Mathew Apolinario who is 15 years old. The celebrity, Enrique Gil, is the one who influenced him about fashion.

He is well known for his roles in various soap operas, including Mula Sa Puso, Budoy, MulingBuksanAngPuso[1] and Forevermore.[2][3] Gil's breakthrough film and television series as an actor were She's The One, where he played David Esguerra, and Forevermore as Alexander "Xander" Grande III.

Bobby, Deo, Shander and Kyle ( the second to last interviewees)were actually friends and it's quite obvious on their attires on who influenced them on their own fashion.

Celebrities, especially on television, do not only entertain and impress us on their good faces, who play different roles in dramas. sing in big stages in front of the crowd and dance professionally on big screen, BUT also influence us in terms of FASHION.

Girls Fashion

In our first observation, first Sunday of September in SM Bacolod we’ve interviewed five girls that really caught our eyes and not so hard to approach. But before we know their answers I will give you some trivia “did you know that “The four major fashion capitals of the world are New York, London, Milan, and Paris ?”


The first girl that we have spotted is Charity Buenavista, 16 years old and the one who influenced her in her Fashion is Avril Lavigne Who’s this Avril Lavigne?

Avril Lavigne, born on September 27, 1984, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada, spent most of her childhood in Napanee, Ontario. Lavigne began singing in church in church at a young age, and signed with Arista Records in 2000. Two years later, she released her debut album, Let Go. Thanks to hit singles "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi," the record sold more than 15 million copies worldwide

The second one is Jey Ann Marie Gangosa 14 years old and the one who influenced her is Yoona, Yoona is part of Girls' Generation, she has released a debut single, three full albums, three mini-albums, one Japanese full album, three Japanese singles, 1 American single and 1 American Maxi-single). The third she is Kezhia Lambitan, 17 years old and the one who influenced her is Ashley Olsen

Ashley Olsen She is along with her twin sister Mary-Kate, came to stardom as a baby on TV's Full House, then built a vast media and fashion empire by the age of 21.

Ashley is two minutes younger than her twin sister Mary-Kate whom she co-founded fashion lines Elizabeth & James, The Row, and Olsenboye with.

Fourth, Catherine Genovia 17 years old the one who influenced her in her is Anne Curtis, also known as Anne Curtis-Smith or simply Anne Curtis (born 17 February 1985), is a Filipino-Australian actress, television host, recording artist, and VJ in the Philippines.

And the last she is Kildare Mabasa14 years old the one who influenced her in her Fashion is Julia Barreto.


Barretto was born on March 10, 1997 in Marikina City, Philippines. She is the daughter of actors Dennis Padilla and Marjorie Barretto. She rose to prominence after being cast in ABS-CBN's Kokey, where she played the lead role of Anna Calugdan. She has successfully starred as the main protagonist of the 2014 melodrama fantasy series Mirabella.

She said that “ Fashion is a way of expressing myself through using my noce and favorite clothes. It also determines my mood for the day and dressing up also depends on the weather. Dressing well makes me confident in meeting people”

Media is the one who influenced her and some Hollywood and Filipino celebrities.

“Fashion is when you're not trying to dress like everyone else. It's choosing your own design that suits you and it gives you comfort. You dress not to impress but to express.”

In their answers, I realized that the advancement of technology through social media and Televisions are one of the reasons why they have that urge to follow what is in trend, we can see in there what is that fashion and who proposed that said fashion. Some people especially teenagers tend to set Fashion as one of their happiness in life, happiness in the sense that they feel that they’re in and they really belong to the new world. I can say that because I have that feeling also, sometimes I want to catch the eyes of the people around me through the way I dressed myself. It made me feel that I’m unique; I want that I’m in trend and I have also spirit to be open in life’s changes especially through the way I dressed. The feeling that through fashion we can reveal how artistic we are and to tell the people in this new world that we have right now that, we exist. Life is short for us to hide to our shell, now it’s the time to reveal what and who we really are. Let’s be fashionable!

INTRODUCTION


Fashion is already a part of the culture of every people in the here in Philippines especially the teenagers. We conducted a short interview and survey of the FASHIONISTAS that we spotted in SM Bacolod. Five for the girls, five for the boys, five for the gays and five for the lesbians, We asked them if who influenced them in their fashion. It can be local or international. In our four Sundays of September 2015 we would know how these people have that we called FASHION. I hope that you’ll enjoy reading these articles that we have in this blog. According to Wikipedia Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing footwear,accessories, make up, body piercing or furniture. Fashion is a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. It is the prevailing styles in behavior and the newest creations of textile designers.Because the more technical term costume is regularly linked to the term "fashion", the use of the former has been relegated to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade wear, while "fashion" generally means clothing, including the study of it. Although aspects of fashion can be feminine or masculine, some trends are androgynous.
